Cool weather but a gorgeous day on the water. The fishing wasn’t as great as it has been this year but all in all we had a good trip. Me and a couple of friends launched this afternoon and headed out to try the reds and black drum in the pass. We drifted some deep spots fighting the incoming tide with no luck. We decided to chase the birds looking for a few bull reds and let the tide slow a bit before we tried the deep spots again, and once more no luck. With dark closing in we tried one more spot before heading home for the day, and finally we caught some nice sheepshead, a couple of nice black drum and one amazing sunset. The sunset made it all worth it.
